Revise: St Mark's Portrayal of JesusMark groups parables in chapter 4, while elsewhere questions and disagreements provide opportunities for explanation. The disciples’ misunderstandings are important: being close to Jesus does not automatically mean understanding him. Their questions allow his teaching to be developed for the Gospel’s readers too.
