How each exam board covers it

Edexcel GCSE Religious Studies A · 1RA0

Specification 1.6 · Paper 2

Organ donation shows particularly clearly how Jews can share a commitment to Pikuach Nefesh yet reach different decisions. In principle, Judaism encourages donation to save lives. A successful transplant can give someone the chance to survive, making donation a powerful expression of the sanctity of life.
