A person who understands a scriptural creation account as a factual description of what happened, including its stated sequence and timescale.
Used by AQA
Paper 2
Revise: Origins of the UniverseLiteralist Christians understand the creation account as a factual description of events. They believe God created in six actual days and rested on the seventh. Some also understand the Earth to be only a few thousand years old.
Explain each view with a reason or teaching: naming ‘literalist’ and ‘non-literalist’ alone does not explain the contrast.
