Revise: Religious UpbringingHumanists emphasise reason, human welfare and independent thinking. They may support teaching children about different religions and worldviews while objecting to requiring children to follow one. Their concern is that an upbringing which discourages questions may become indoctrination: acceptance is expected without critical examination.
