Sacred or connected to God.
For Christians, human life is not simply useful or enjoyable: it is holy, meaning sacred and connected to God. The sanctity of life is the belief that human life is sacred and should be respected and protected. Christians understand life as a gift from God, not something whose value people create for themselves.
