This calling belongs to everyone, whatever their rank or circumstances, not only to ordained leaders.

Use Exodus 31:12–18 to connect Shabbat with holiness, creation and the lasting covenant. Its severe penalties emphasise the seriousness of the command, while the tablets reinforce its divine authority.
