Revise: Akhand PathThe opening includes recitation of the Anand Sahib, a Sikh hymn, followed by Ardas, a prayer, and the taking of a hukam, a passage received as the Guru’s guidance. At the completion, the Anand Sahib and a concluding Ardas are recited, and karah prashad, a sweet food, is distributed. Local traditions differ over the final scriptural composition read, but the central practice remains an uninterrupted reading of the whole scripture.
