Paper 1
Revise: Memory StructuresThe multi-store model explains these differences by proposing three memory stores: sensory memory, short-term memory and long-term memory. These are parts of an explanatory model, rather than three literal containers in the brain.
Paper 2
A temporary memory store with a capacity of approximately seven items and a duration of about 30 seconds without rehearsal.
Link primacy to long-term memory and recency to short-term memory; explain the role of rehearsal rather than just naming the stores.

The model distinguishes three separate stores — the sensory store, short-term memory (STM) and long-term memory (LTM). Information passes through these stores in sequence before becoming a long-term memory.
