Paper 2
Revise: Treatments for InsomniaProgressive muscle relaxation involves gently tensing a muscle group for a few seconds and then releasing it, working through different parts of the body, for example from the feet upwards. Noticing the contrast between tension and relaxation helps the person release tension that could keep them awake. Muscles should not be tensed painfully, and painful or injured areas should be avoided.
