Revise: Energy SourcesSolar cells transfer energy from sunlight directly to electricity. Solar energy can also be used directly for heating water or cooking rather than first generating electricity. Its supply is renewable, but it varies with daylight and weather, so electricity may need to be stored or supplied from another resource when sunlight is insufficient.
