Revise: Data Evaluation and Drawing ConclusionsAn outlier lies noticeably away from the pattern formed by the other data. It should initially be treated as data rather than deleted to make a pattern look stronger.
Do not discard an outlier simply because it is inconvenient. Retain it unless there is a scientific reason, such as an identified measuring or recording mistake, or repeat the reading to investigate it.
