Revise: Domestic Energy TransfersA heating element transfers energy supplied electrically to a thermal energy store as current passes through it. In a mains-powered kettle, the element heats up and transfers energy to the water. A battery-powered electric hand warmer similarly transfers energy from its battery to its heating element and then to the hand warmer and surroundings.
