The production of a potential difference across a conductor because the magnetic field around it changes.
Revise: TransformersBecause the magnetic field around the secondary is changing, electromagnetic induction produces a potential difference across its ends. If the secondary is part of a complete circuit, this induced potential difference drives an alternating current.
