Paper 1
Revise: Long-Term Effects of ExerciseA lower resting heart rate after months of regular training is a long-term adaptation: a lasting change in how the body works.
Distinguish resting measurements from exercise measurements. Training lowers resting heart rate; it does not mean heart rate stays low during strenuous exercise.
Do not claim that resting cardiac output must increase: a larger stroke volume can compensate for a lower resting heart rate.
