Paper 1
Revise: Identification of bonesAt the hip, identify the pelvis and femur. The pelvis is the bony structure around the hips. The femur is the thigh bone, extending down from the hip to the knee.
Paper 1
The thigh bone, between the hip and knee.
Revise: Location of major bonesBelow the pelvis, each femur runs through the thigh from hip to knee. The patella is the kneecap at the front of the knee; it is not one of the long bones running down the leg.
For the knee, name the femur and tibia, and remember that the patella sits in front of the joint.
Distinguish the humerus in the upper arm from the radius and ulna in the forearm, and the femur in the thigh from the tibia and fibula in the lower leg.
