Tabloid

The Sun is a British tabloid, recognisable here through a red-and-white masthead, very large headlines, a dominant image and relatively small blocks of text. These conventions make the main message easy to recognise quickly. Tabloid conventions do not mean that every story is celebrity gossip: this page gives overwhelming prominence to a major public-health issue.
