Revise: The Sweeney: crime drama in the 1970sA police procedural centres on police work: gathering information, watching suspects and investigating crimes. The Sweeney combines this with action conventions, including car chases, fights and threats. Regan taking surveillance photographs shows the patient work of investigation; confrontations and pursuit turn that work into physical excitement.
