Continuity editing

Continuity editing makes events easy to follow. Some scenes, including the opening scenes in Jenny’s bedroom and sitting room, use comparatively simple camera arrangements and longer takes. This creates a different rhythm from much contemporary television, allowing dialogue and performance to carry the scene.
