Revise: Cones and SpheresA composite solid is handled by decomposing it into familiar solids. Annotate the diagram and decide whether each part is being added or removed.
In a composite solid, do not include a joining face in the external surface area. If two complete surface areas were added, the shared face would be counted twice.
For a composite solid, mark each joining face as internal before calculating surface area. Internal faces are not exposed and must not be counted.
