Definition

A range used to group data values together.

The horizontal axis shows the measured variable and its class intervals; the bars meet at their class boundaries. Unlike a bar chart of categories, the widths matter. A class from 10 to 15 minutes has width 5 minutes, while one from 30 to 45 minutes has width 15 minutes.
