Revise: Recovery of the RepublicThe Young Plan was negotiated in 1929, under a committee led by the American banker Owen Young. Unlike the Dawes Plan, it reduced the total reparations bill, from £6.6 billion to approximately £1.85 billion. It also extended the repayment period to 1988.
