Revise: Recovery of the RepublicIn August 1924, the Reichsmark replaced the Rentenmark, and the Reichsbank was reorganised and made independent of government under the Dawes Plan. Stabilising money was a foundation for recovery, although it did not restore the savings people had already lost.
