Revise: Struggle for PowerTrotsky, Zinoviev and Kamenev eventually joined together in the United Opposition. Stalin and Bukharin defended the NEP against them. Stalin accused the opposition of factionalism, using Lenin’s 1921 ban on organised factions to portray their challenge as disloyalty to the party rather than ordinary debate.
