Trail hunting

Trail hunting involves hounds following a laid scent trail instead of deliberately pursuing a live animal. Opponents alleged that it could conceal illegal fox hunting. The disagreement shifted partly from whether hunting should be banned to whether the law was effective and being obeyed.
