Revise: The Nature of WarfareRadar used radio waves to detect approaching aircraft. During the Battle of Britain in 1940, it formed part of Britain's early-warning system. Earlier warning helped Britain respond to incoming attacks, showing that information could be as important as the weapons used to fight them.
