Explain both sides of Nazi control of justice: loyal judges and political courts served the regime, while protective custody allowed the Gestapo to bypass trials altogether.
Explain how institutions worked together, rather than simply listing them. Gestapo ‘protective custody’, for example, allowed detention in an SS-run camp without a trial.
