Revise: Aftermath of WarIn December 1763, settlers known as the Paxton Boys attacked a peaceful Conestoga community in Pennsylvania. They killed six people and burned their homes. These victims were not combatants in Pontiac’s Rebellion.
Use 1763–64 for the main phase of Pontiac’s Rebellion, but remember that fighting and negotiations continued and Pontiac made peace in 1766.
