Revise: Local and National Sources for WWII LondonPersonal accounts include diaries, letters and recorded interviews. They can explain what an air raid meant to someone living through it: interrupted sleep, fear for relatives, damage to possessions or the search for somewhere safe to shelter. A diary written during the war records experiences close to the time; an interview recorded afterwards contains remembered experiences.
