Revise: English Reformation c.1520–c.1535Pluralism meant holding several Church offices; non-residence meant not living where an office required a clergyman to serve. These practices raised concerns that clergy were receiving income without properly attending to their congregations. Complaints about fees and Church courts also gave people reasons to seek reform without rejecting Catholic beliefs.
