Revise: LandThe charter authorised the Company to coin money and to arrest and repatriate interlopers—unauthorised traders who challenged its exclusive rights. Repatriation meant sending them back to their home country. These powers linked commercial privilege with practical enforcement: a monopoly was more valuable if the Company could act against people who ignored it.
