Paper 2
Revise: TacitusThe Agricola, published in AD 98, is a biography of his father-in-law, the governor Agricola. It combines a personal account with British ethnography, a survey of earlier Roman involvement and a year-by-year narrative of Agricola’s governorship. That family connection makes it valuable, but gives Tacitus a reason to emphasise Agricola’s distinction.
