Revise: Political Reform Under GorbachevPerestroika would restructure the economy; glasnost would expose mistakes and corruption; democratisation would help replace obstructive officials with people willing to carry out reform. Better relations with the West would reduce confrontation and the pressure of military competition.
Keep perestroika, glasnost and democratisation distinct, but explain how they supported one another.
