Revise: Early Nazi PartyIn September 1919, Hitler was sent to monitor a meeting of the German Workers’ Party, or DAP, in Munich. Anton Drexler had helped establish this small right-wing party earlier that year. Despite its name, it was not a socialist workers’ party: it combined nationalism with hostility towards Jews and the Weimar government.
