Revise: Social Policy and PracticeIn 1933, Hitler signed a Concordat with the Vatican. The agreement promised protection for Catholic religious affairs in return for the Catholic Church staying out of politics. It helped reduce the possibility of organised Catholic opposition, but the regime subsequently violated its promises.
