Revise: Development of Naval WarfareThe Grace à Dieu, also known as the Great Harry, demonstrates the scale of Tudor naval ambition. It was a large ocean-going carrack, about 50 metres long, with a high forecastle at the front and a stern castle at the rear. It carried 43 heavy guns and 141 light guns, with a crew of between 700 and 1,000.
