Revise: Factors Affecting Landform Change RatesDuring the large floods of 2012–2014, it showed little change in channel form despite high discharge. Its low channel slope limits stream power—the energy available in flowing water to erode and transport material. Its wide floodplain allows floodwater to spread out rather than remaining concentrated in a deep, confined flow.
