Revise: Use of TransectsA slope profile shows changes in the shape of the beach; sediment-size measurements show whether different parts contain different-sized material. Compare the two to identify whether a change in sediment coincides with a change in slope. For example, a steeper section with larger mean pebble sizes indicates an association between slope and sediment size, but does not by itself prove the cause.
