Revise: Use of TransectsSediment sorting means that different sizes of material are separated. Waves move and deposit particles differently according to their size and the energy available, so sediment size may vary between the lower and upper beach. Test the direction of that change from the measurements rather than assuming that every beach has the same pattern.
