Revise: Glacial Deposition and Identification of LandformsDrumlins are smooth, elongated hills, commonly made from till. They often occur in groups called drumlin swarms, sometimes described as a ‘basket of eggs’ landscape.

A streamlined, elongated hill of glacial till, usually with a blunt, steeper upstream end and a tapered downstream end.
On a drumlin diagram, show ice moving from the blunt, steeper end towards the tapered, gentler end.
Do not reverse the slopes: a roche moutonnée has a gently sloping, abraded upstream side; a drumlin has a steeper, blunter upstream end.
For crag and tail and drumlins, explain both deposition and erosion or reshaping, rather than naming only one process.

A drumlin is an elongated, streamlined hill made of glacial till. In a GCSE formation model, debris accumulates beneath the glacier, sometimes around an obstruction. Moving ice then reshapes the deposited material, dragging it along and moulding it into a streamlined hill.
