Lullaby

Fatimah Asghar’s Lullaby explores how family storytelling can comfort someone after bereavement. It is addressed to Asghar’s sister, Khudejha, and draws on the stories she told about their dead parents. The poem contains two connected relationships: the parents’ love for one another and the sisters’ love expressed through sharing memories.
