Paper 1
Revise: Isolation and companionshipIn Frankenstein, companionship is more than having somebody nearby. Walton, Victor and the creature want someone who understands their feelings and shares their experiences. Shelley connects their loneliness, but makes an important distinction: Walton and Victor withdraw from relationships to pursue their ambitions, whereas the creature is abandoned and repeatedly excluded because of his appearance.
