Revise: Writing an articleSubheadings help readers recognise a change of focus. ‘When the team works’ could introduce benefits; ‘When together becomes too much’ could introduce drawbacks. Use them where they help the argument, rather than placing one above every paragraph automatically.
Paper 1
Subheadings guide readers through sections. ‘Somewhere to belong’ would introduce a discussion of a youth centre; ‘Start with what we have’ would signal a practical proposal about using existing buildings. Choose headings that reflect what the sections actually do.
Use the task’s suggested points as starting ideas, not compulsory subheadings. Develop an answer to the actual question.
Use the title given in the question. Add a strapline or subheadings only when they help communicate and organise your ideas.
