Revise: Modification of propertiesManufacturers can mix UV stabilisers into polymer granules before heating and forming them. During processes such as injection moulding or extrusion, the stabilisers become distributed throughout the material.
Flame retardants reduce fire hazards; they do not make textiles completely fireproof. UV stabilisers slow degradation rather than guaranteeing permanent protection.
