Revise: Ferrous MetalsStainless steel contains chromium, often with nickel, while tungsten steel contains tungsten. Cast iron has a higher carbon content than steels and good casting properties. Casting means pouring molten metal into a mould and allowing it to solidify into the required shape.
Do not confuse high carbon steel with tungsten steel. Both suit cutting tools, but tungsten-containing high-speed steel is especially useful when cutting generates heat.
