Revise: Cost FactorsThe number produced changes the importance of the initial tooling cost. If the same mould makes many thousands of identical components, its cost is shared across all of them. If it makes only a few components, each carries a much larger share.
Distinguish the initial cost of a mould from the unit cost of each product. Large production quantities spread tooling costs across more units.
