Revise: Processing Analogue InputsThis is done using a potential divider: an LDR and a fixed resistor connected in series across the supply. The junction between them connects to an input with analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) capability. Not every microcontroller input has this capability, so the correct input must be selected from the chip’s pinout information.

Do not assume brighter light always produces a higher reading: this depends on the sensor’s position in the potential divider.
For a potential divider, identify which component is between the output junction and 0 V before deciding whether the output voltage rises or falls.
