Revise: Force magnitude and directionA mechanism transmits force and movement from an input to an output. It can change the direction of a force, its magnitude (size), or the type of movement produced. A bicycle brake linkage redirects a pull, while a gear system can turn a fast motor output into slower rotation with greater turning force.
