Choose equipment by considering the thickness and size of the timber, whether the required feature is straight or curved, and the accuracy and finish needed. A tool that removes timber quickly is not necessarily the best choice for a small, delicate detail. The maker’s training and the ability to hold the work safely also affect the choice.
