An attack in which malicious input is incorporated unsafely into a database query, changing what the query does.

Revise: Forms of AttackSQL injection occurs when an application incorporates input into a query unsafely, allowing an attacker's input to be interpreted as SQL instructions rather than just data. The input changes what the query does.
For SQL injection, explain that malicious input changes a database query. Simply saying that an attacker types into a website is not enough.
