Revise: Malware and Cyberattack MethodsPretexting, also called blagging, uses an invented identity or situation. An attacker might pretend to work in human resources and claim that an employee must provide confidential details to resolve an urgent administrative problem. The invented story makes the request seem legitimate; information researched about the target can make it more convincing.
